1. Who we are
GenieApps Digital Solutions Limited ("GenieApps", "we", "us") provides enterprise software (Facilit8, AssetPro, Genie), technology consulting, and solar power design and installation. This policy explains what personal data we collect through our website and services, why, and what rights you have over it.
2. Data we collect
Contact and enquiry data you submit through our forms (name, email, phone, company, message); usage data about how you interact with our website and products (pages visited, feature usage, device and browser information); and, for product customers, operational data your organisation enters into Facilit8, AssetPro or Genie (which remains your data — see section 6).
3. How we use it
To respond to enquiries and provide requested quotes or demos; to operate, maintain and improve our products; to send service-related communications and, where you've opted in, occasional product or company updates; and to meet legal and regulatory obligations.
4. Legal basis for processing
Where the Nigeria Data Protection Act / NDPR or another applicable data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on: your consent (e.g. newsletter sign-up), performance of a contract (e.g. delivering a product or consulting engagement you've purchased), and our legitimate interests (e.g. improving our services, preventing fraud) balanced against your rights.
5. Sharing your data
We do not sell personal data. We share data with sub-processors strictly necessary to run our services (e.g. hosting, email delivery, payment processing), each bound by a data processing agreement, and with authorities where required by law.
6. Your organisation's data in our products
For Facilit8, AssetPro and Genie customers, your organisation's operational data (work orders, asset records, workflow content) is controlled by your organisation, not GenieApps. We process it as a data processor under your organisation's instructions and applicable data processing agreement.
7. Data retention
We retain contact and enquiry data for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping, and product data for the duration of the customer relationship plus any period required by contract or law, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of your personal data, and may withdraw consent for optional communications at any time. Contact us using the details below to exercise these rights.
9. Security
We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures — encryption in transit, access controls, and regular review of our security practices — to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "last revised" date and, where appropriate, communicated directly.
